Alternanthera bettzickiana Green is a 4-12” plant originating from Central and South America. It does well in a wide variety of PH (6.5-7.6 is comfortable) which is just one of the factors that makes this plant an easy to moderate plant for aquarists. To propagate, simply cut the stems and replant, and with the proper lighting this plant can grow quite quickly, even emerged. To get the most out of your plant, high nitrates and phosphates will promote great growth. Fertilization is recommended for this plant.
